When a Client Asked for 8 Models in 6 Days
Some shoots demand energy from start to finish, and this one was a perfect example of high end fashion photography production in Nepal done at full pace.
When Tamasha Knit, a New York based luxury brand specializing in pure Himalayan cashmere, contacted me, the brief sounded straightforward. Eight models, six shoot days, and a complete lookbook. But once the details unfolded, we knew it was going to be much more than just a photography assignment. It was a full luxury fashion lookbook photography project with international expectations.
We turned our Kathmandu office premises into a full fashion photography studio in Nepal. This was not only about taking photographs but also about designing, printing, and publishing a final lookbook catalogue that would be shipped to Tamasha Knit’s popup stores across the United States. The stakes were high. Their designers work with global luxury clients, each with distinct style preferences, and every set of looks had to feel unique yet cohesive. This kind of work demands precision that only professional fashion campaign photography can deliver.
Over six intense days, we photographed more than a hundred changes and styles, both big and small. The client wanted everything to be clean, minimal, soft, and universally appealing. That meant precise lighting setups, subtle styling, and attention to the tiniest details so that every cashmere piece looked as premium as it felt. This is where commercial fashion photography in Nepal meets craftsmanship.
Behind the scenes, it was a ballet of coordination. Models rotated in and out with clockwork precision, stylists prepared the next look while the current one was being shot, and my team kept the pace going without sacrificing quality. We used carefully controlled studio lighting for fashion photography to create a consistent and luxurious feel, ensuring the lookbook would feel timeless no matter which page you turned. This is the kind of workflow required for international fashion lookbook production.
By the end of the week, we had created not only a complete photography collection but also a printed catalogue that captured the brand’s vision. The client was delighted. We were exhausted. And yes, in the best way possible, it truly was a tamasha.
